Running for a Cancer Cure
On April 9, 2003, to celebrate his victory over cancer and his 60th birthday, pianist Martin Berkofsky set out on the run of his life. From Tulsa, Oklahoma he planned an astonishing odyssey: A running concert tour, traversing 880 miles of Americas heartland, raising funds to help find a cancer cure. Less then a week later, Martin attended the funeral of a friend who just died from cancer. After four months, Martin Berkofsky performed seven major concerts to raise money to help researchers develop new treatments and hopefully a cure for cancer.
