In Response to Place - Photographs of Hope Sandrow
In Response to Place in association with the Nature Conservancy is narrated by Joanne Woodward and takes a look at some of the most beautiful places on earth through the eyes and lenses of the worlds greatest Nature photographers. This segment highlights artist Hope Sandrow who photographs Komodo National Park in Indonesia. Her panoramas were constructed with the camera lens halfway under water, allowing viewers to see marine and terrestrial landscapes simultaneously. The variations of color, horizon line and point of view convey the role of chance in her work.
